Andrew Fine has over 27 year’s experience as an attorney.  During that time, he has handled a wide variety of civil, criminal, and administrative matters in the United States and abroad.

Andrew grew up in a legal household — his father was an attorney and one of the longest-serving judges in Palm Beach County, Florida history.  Throughout childhood, Andrew accompanied his dad to work, observing court and often discussing the merits of various arguments with his dad after cases had concluded.

After attending the University of Florida College of Law, Andrew began his own legal career in 1997 as an Assistant State Attorney working in the Child Legal Services division.  After roughly a year, family considerations brought him back to Gainesville, Florida, where heworked as a private attorney at a high-volume law firm, primarily handling criminal trials in numerous counties all over North Florida.  Having to try cases in front of juries in big cities and small towns, Andrew quickly learned how to adapt to different judicial cultures, witnesses, and jurors — experience that would serve him well throughout his career.

After a few years in Gainesville, Andrew returned to South Florida.  During this time he transitioned to civil litigation while still handling criminal cases.  Andrew also began representing defendants in administrative actions, and represented college and professional athletes and other notable individuals in fraud recovery matters, internal investigations, and general crisis management.   At the request of his clients, Andrew also began helping with international matters, managing litigation and helping clients navigate foreign legal systems – an experience not that different from handling cases all over North Florida.

Andrew has continued his varied legal practice in Florida and, since relocating to Durham, in North Carolina ever since.   He has expanded his practice to include a full-spectrum corporate matters and employment law matters.  Andrew has experience as primary legal counsel in the following areas:
